The Testimony
How a bartender came to keep the old gospel alive
It started on a stage. Years ago, tending bar in a saloon inside a four star hotel, Jeddidiah stepped up to sing when karaoke was new. The room was rock and roll, but what came out was country, and people started asking for him by name. A man in the audience said he was a producer and told him to chase it.
Life went wayward for a while, left and right, until it did not. When faith took hold and he became a Christian, one calling stayed steady: to keep the old gospel alive. So he found a man who recorded, and he made the record he had been carrying all along.
“It is my happy place. It is where I feel I was created to be.”
Gospel reaches people who will not sit still for anything else. Not popularity, not a contest. A plain and honest way to carry the message of Jesus Christ, and the answer to a soul sickness for anyone looking for the way home.
